Using spaciv for the first time: how to log in and find your way around the interface, account and projects.

Download Lesson Assets

This guide walks you through logging into spaciv and getting familiar with the interface. Use it before starting Level 1 so you know where everything is.

1. Logging In

spaciv runs in the browser. Open Google Chrome and navigate to your spaciv sign-in page. The URL will have been provided to you by your organisation or by the spaciv team.

Option A - RECOMMENDED: Magic link

1. On the sign-in page, find the lower email field labelled Email address.

2. Enter your email address.

3. Click Request Access Link.

4. Check your inbox. You will receive an email with a single-use link.

5. Click the link to log in. No password required.

The following options are only relevant if your organisation has set them up with spaciv:

Option B: Password (if you have one set up)

1. Enter your email and password in the upper fields on the sign-in page.

2. Click Sign In.

Option C: SSO (if you have one set up)

Click Sign in with SSO at the bottom of the page if your organisation uses single sign-on.

Note: If you are unsure which login method to use, check with your organisation or the person who invited you to spaciv. Most accounts use option A, magic link.

2. The Homepage

After logging in, you will land on the spaciv homepage. This is your starting point every time you open the app.

The most important part of the interface is the sidebar on the left. It has two distinct sections:

·  Account section (top) — where your data is stored and managed

·  Projects section (bottom) — where your dashboards and analysis live

Note: If you belong to multiple accounts, you will see a SwitchAccount option at the top of the sidebar. Click it to move between accounts.

3. Your Account

The top section of the sidebar is your account. This is where all your data lives and where you set everything upbefore building projects.

You do not need to know what all the components of your account are yet, except that that's where your current data is stored. The Academy lessons will introduce the account segments one by one. For now, just notice that they are all here, in the account section.

4. Your Projects

The lower section of the sidebar shows your projects. Each project has its own set of dashboards listed beneath it.

If your project is already set up by our team, this is where you can find everything that interests you: charts, visualisations and forecasting graphics. All the info for your reports in one place.

Opening a project

· From the homepage, find your project under Your projects.

· Click the project name to open it.

· The dashboards for that project will appear in the lower part of the sidebar.

· Click any dashboard name to open it.

Your demo account comes with template projects already set up. These are a good way to explore what spaciv canproduce before you start building your own.

5. Your Profile

Your profile icon sits in the top right corner of the screen. Click it to access the following options:

·  My profile: view and update your personal details

·  Accounts: switch between accounts if you belong to more than one

·  Account settings: manage your account name, logo, and organisation information

·  Sign out: log out of spaciv

6. Finding spaciv Academy

You can access the Academy at any time from the homepage. Look for the Getting Started banner and click Go to thespaciv Academy.

All lessons, video guides, and downloadable resources are available there.
